Pickleball in Berlin, New Hampshire
Berlin has an established outdoor pickleball community centered on the converted courts on Glen Avenue. The city converted the former tennis courts there for pickleball in 2025, and local players continue to gather there during the summer. Berlin does not currently have a city-run indoor pickleball program, so outdoor play and player-organized sessions are the main options.

Glen Avenue Pickleball Courts
Glen Avenue, Berlin, NH 03570
The former Glen Avenue tennis courts were converted for pickleball in 2025 and are now Berlin's main public pickleball location. They are next to Veteran's Memorial Park near the south end of the city. An established local group uses the courts throughout the summer, making this more than an unscheduled recreation site. A fixed public open play schedule is not currently posted. See Berlin parks and athletic facilities.
Horne Field also has public tennis courts, though the city did not approve the 2026 request to add permanent pickleball lines there. Glen Avenue remains the clearer city pickleball destination.
Beginner Pickleball in Berlin
Berlin does not currently publish a recurring beginner clinic or learn-to-play program. New players who want to enter local games should start with the Glen Avenue pickleball community during the outdoor season. The Northern New Hampshire PlayTime Scheduler includes Berlin and lets players find and join player-organized sessions instead of trying to assemble a complete group on their own.
For individual instruction, use the Coaches section.
Open Play and Organized Pickleball
Berlin has an established group of local players who use the Glen Avenue courts during the summer. The city does not publish fixed weekly open play hours, so this should be treated as community-organized play rather than a city recreation program.
The Northern New Hampshire PlayTime Scheduler covers Berlin, Gorham, Lancaster, North Conway, Lincoln, and other North Country communities and is useful for finding or creating scheduled games with other players.
